Good morning, Oklahoma! Here’s to another day in this beautiful, cool morning—up with the sun and a cup of coffee. The dog is fed, the kids have juice on the counter, and they’re all up watching Saturday morning cartoons for a bit before the day begins again with more cleaning and touching up the walls.
Well this afternoon we decided to take a break! Rest before the actual move then the real cleaning begins. Kids played a game while I made some homemade keto chocolate pudding, just put it in the fridge to set. If you haven’t tried Cottage cheese chocolate pudding, Wow! very rich and delicious.
Hubby’s plane was grounded do to a storm rolling in the area, so he’ll have to stay in Orlando tonight. 🙁
Finishing the day with a walk around the neighborhood.
Dwelling Happily
How to dwell happily in the present moment? By accepting the things I cannot change and looking at things from a different perspective. Instead of stressing about how things are going to be today, bring the mind back to the body in order to open up the inner happiness that is available in the present moment. When we are present, we can touch the beauty of everything around us and inside of us; this practice can be very healing. Just this morning, opening the door, feeling the crisp, cool breeze on the face, breathing in the coolness, being present to hear the sounds of the birds, watching the squirrels scurrying around chasing each other up and down around the trees. It’s neat to just be able to be still for a moment and just be present and thankful.
May today remind you that happiness does not wait for perfect conditions. It blossoms when you choose to come home to this moment, breathe, and say, “I am here, and this is enough.”
Let this truth from Scripture anchor your heart:
“Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10
May your day be filled with small joys, deep breaths, and the quiet knowing that you are held, seen, and exactly where you need to be.
Be blessed my spiritual friend.
